During the process of selling out, Nate Cartier was added to the band for sex appeal. The band figured that a younger, pre-pubescent boy may help to get younger girls interested in the band. This backfired when the band was asked to play the Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards as the band appeared drunk on stage and throwing bottles at the child audience. Parents complained, not only because of the band's drunken antics, but because Nate was up way past his bedtime.
